The Department of Geology, Jagannath Barooah College (Autonomous), Jorhat, hosted a parent-teacher meeting on August 26th, 2023, at 2 PM in the Seminar Hall of the college. Dr. Nurul Amin, Head of the Department, presided over the meeting, which was attended by around 20 parents from different batches. Dr. Amin began by emphasising the significance of the meeting. He quickly outlined the credit system as well as the structure of the 2020 NEP (National Education Policy). He also highlighted the importance of mentoring and introduced the mentors assigned to each batch of students. The assigned mentors shared their thoughts during the meeting and had positive interactions. In the meeting, parents had a productive conversation and talked about various issues they were concerned about. Finally, the meeting ended with positive remarks.
