On 7th November, 2024 Dr. Stacia M. Gordon, Professor, University of Nevada, USA visited the Jagannath Barooah College. She delivered a talk entitled 'Time capsules from Deep within the Himalayan Mountains: How tiny crystals records the evolution of Earth's largest mountain belt'. The session begins with the welcome address by Dr. Raktim Ranjan Saikia, Head, Department of Geology. Dr. Nurul Amin, Vice-Principal, J. B. College felicitated Prof. Gordon followed by handing over a token of appreciation by Dr. Saikia. Certificate distribution for three in-house competition were also carried out during the event. At last Dr. Chaitra Dhar Taye concluded with vote-of-thanks.
