An interactive programme on Agroecology was organized by the Department of Sociology, bringing together students and two visiting scholars Philip Buck and Tatinia Christiana from Austria. It was conducted on 17^th April, 2025. The session aimed to facilitate cross-cultural academic exchange and deepen students’ understanding of sustainable agricultural practices within the framework of agroecology. The Austrian scholars shared insights from their research and field experiences in Europe, encouraging open dialogue and critical discussion on issues related to ecological farming, food security, and community-based agricultural models. Students actively participated in the interaction, raising questions and sharing perspectives from the local context of Assam. The programme created a platform for mutual learning and fostered interest in global approaches to sustainable agriculture.
