WELCOME TO KRISHNA KANTA HANDIQUI CENTRAL LIBRARY
The Krishna Kanta Handiqui Library, which is housed in the college, is well-stocked and features a wide range of collections. As of right now, it holds over 55,257 volumes in addition to 15 national and local dailies and national and international journals and periodicals in Assamese, Hindi, and English. Additionally, it contains a respectable selection of encyclopedias covering many topics. A Xerox machine is also placed inside the library's walls for the use of patrons. Through OPAC, the library has already provided its patrons with book searching capabilities. Teachers and college students have also been introduced to the concept of circulation, or the borrowing of books, through the use of "Koha Integrated Library Management Software". Also available at the library is Dspace digitization software.
The library also has access to the Internet Resource Center. For teachers' and students' use, the library offers a pertinent area with internet access. In addition to digitizing fifteen ancient manuscripts (Sachipotia Puthi), rare volumes, and vintage J'BIAN (college magazine), the Krishna Kanta Handiqui Library subscribes to a large number of e-journals and e-books from the N-List, the National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Material. Other rare books are now being digitized.
