Hindi department is the precious gem of JB College. It is as resplendent as a constellation, by touching which hundreds of students from upper Assam got a national identity. Through this, their path to higher education has been paved. In the midst of various struggles, the department of Hindi has kept its national pride stable. This is the first college in upper Assam which started teaching Hindi as a honour subject first and hundreds of students were benefitted.
