Jagannath Barooah University, Jorhat, had the privilege of hosting an enriching Bharatanatyam dance performance under the aegis of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth), Dibrugarh Chapter on 9th February 2026 at 3:00 PM.
The programme featured an exquisite performance by renowned Bharatanatyam artist Lakshmi Parthasarathy Athreya, who captivated the audience with her grace, expressive abhinaya, rhythmic precision, and spiritual depth. The performance beautifully reflected the rich cultural heritage and classical traditions of India, leaving the audience mesmerized.
The accompanying artists included Kumari Aswini Srinivasan, Smt Vidya Ravindran Anand, and Smt ILA Sangeetha Dilip, whose musical support added depth and vibrancy to the recital. Their harmonious coordination showcased the essence of teamwork intrinsic to Indian classical performances.
