  1. Organized a UGC Sponsored 4-day Workshop for 30 College Teachers with Geography under Dibrugarh University on “Application of Remote Sensing and GIS” in January, 2006.
  2. Organized a UGC Sponsored SAM Workshop at JB College on Sensitivity, Awareness and Motivation Workshop for College Teachers of Assam &Meghalaya on 26th to 30th March, 2013 at Jagannath Barooah College.
  3. Organized as the Co-Ordinator the UGC Sponsored NET Coaching Camp for NET & SLET for about 100 students and teachers 17th Feb – 17th March, 2015.
  4. Resource Person to Workshop on ‘Women Connect for Leadership and Change’ organized by Dibrugarh University in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth and Development, Sripedumbur, Tamil Nadu in December, 2015.
  5. Organized a UGC sponsored National Seminar on “The Challenges of Climate Change in India with reference to NE India” in the Dept of Geography, JB College, on 19th & 20th August, 2016.
  6. Invited as a Co-Chair person in the Technical Session on Planning, Health Care, Cartography & GIS session in the NAGI Conference organized by Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh in October, 2019 and several Capacity Building Workshops in 2012 and 2013 and also coaching for competitive exams.
  7. Invited as a Speaker "Speaker" for the Seminar Session onIntegrated Reporting: Challenges & Opportunities in the XVI Annual International Conference to be held on January 3, 2015 on the broad theme “Nutrition and Food Security: The Challenges Ahead” at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
  8. Invited as a Speaker by TISS, Guwahati on ‘Women Connect’ by Mariani College to speak on ‘Environment Awareness’ in an All-Assam Student Seminar by Jorhat College on ‘Status of Women in India with special focus on the Girl Child’ and as a Speaker for International Womens’ Day in 2016, jointly organized by 9 Self Help Groups.
  9. Dr Minakshi Phookan Hazarika was invited as Guest of Honour in the first Alumni Meet organized by the Centre for Studies in Geography, Dibrugarh University on 23rd February, 2020.
  10. Dr Hazarika organized as Jt. Co-ordinator with Madhurjya Mili a Webinar on “Urban Health Hazard and Post Covid 19 Management” from Dept of Geography in collaboration with Rotary Club of Jorhat which was hosted on May 13, 2020.
  11. Dr Hazarika was invited as Resource Person at the National Level Online Seminar on “Environmental Degradation and Disaster in India” in Collaboration with CDC Dibrugarh University, and Dept of Geography Mariani College and Cinnamara College which was held on 16 & 17th July, 2020.
  12. Dr Hazarika, as Joint Coordinator organized a One-day Training on “E Learning” under Rotary’s TEACH programme for School Teachers of Jorhat, Golaghat, Sivasagar and Majuli Districts, held on 27th July, 2020.
  13. Dr Hazarika as Joint Coordinator (Chair Literacy Committee, Rotary Club of Jorhat) organized a Webinar jointly organized by Dept of English, CKB Commerce College in collaboration with Rotary Club of Jorhat, on the topic “Perspectives on the Global Pandemic Scenario: Health, Education and Society” hosted on 20th June, 2020.

OTHER INSTITUTIONAL ACTIVITIES

         Other Activities in the Institution towards enrichment of Campus life:

               As Co-Ordinator of Research Cell since the last 5 years in the Institution, as a member of Internal Quality Assurance Cell for 4 years, as member of Career Counselling Cell for 3 years, as a teacher In-Charge she has guided - Inter college debate competition, Music competitions during students’ college week, Music competitions during Teachers Meet and mentoring of students with honours in Geography etc.

              Being involved in different wings of the college affairs as under: Co-curricular activities. Currently she has being appointed as the Director of Research Council of Jagannath Barooah College (Autonomous).

          Extension Work/ Community Service:

              Actively involved with Rotary International from Rotary Club of Jorhat since 2010 working under TEACH, the new initiative of Rotary towards removal of illiteracy. T stands for Teacher Support, E for E learning, A for Adult Education, C for Child Support and H for Happy Schools. Worked extensively on Adult Education and builing Happy Schools and promoting WASH.

              Actively involved with a Women’s organization “Sanskar Club” since 2009 working for the girl child in providing economically poor students with financial assistance, working for upliftment of primary schools by providing them with cupboards, ceiling fans, desks and benches, books, colour pencils etc.

              She is a member of the J.B. College Women Cell and actively involved in academic and overall upliftment of the student community.
