The Department of Mathematics successfully organized an Inter-Departmental Quiz Competition on 26th March 2026, fostering a spirit of intellectual engagement and healthy competition among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with a total of 21 teams representing 17 departments of the university.
The quiz competition was conducted by esteemed alumni, Mr. Himajit Phukan and Mr. Abhiraj Dutta, who served as the Quiz Masters. Their effective coordination and engaging presentation greatly contributed to the success of the event.
The competition was structured in two phases—a preliminary round followed by a final round. After a rigorous preliminary screening, six teams advanced to the final round, where they demonstrated commendable knowledge and quick thinking across a range of topics.
The quiz aimed to encourage students to enhance their awareness and knowledge in areas such as current affairs, regional and national identity, as well as the rich culture and heritage of the country. The participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm and competitiveness throughout the event.

The winning teams were awarded trophies and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performance. The Quiz Masters were felicitated with traditional gamusa and mementos as a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution. All six finalist teams were awarded certificates of participation, acknowledging their commendable efforts and achievements.
The event concluded on a successful note, reflecting the university’s commitment to promoting academic excellence, general awareness, and holistic development among students.
