The location was Nameri, situated in Assam and  Arunachal border. 34 students and few teachers  participated with an aim to take the students out from the four walls of class room  giving the feel of outdoor classes catering to their  practical syllabus amidst  lush green nature. Classes were also arranged on career opportunities in tourism industry, shipping industry and merchant navy by Dr. Rajlaxmi Bordoloi and Hemanga Baishya ,Navigating Officer. Principal Rajesh Das and Ruby Singha of Chariduar Higher Secondary  school attended the cultural program instantly organized by the students. A trekking of  7 kms  from Nameri towards Bhalukpung was organized not only to experience adventure activities but also to explain geostrategic importance of border region situated on the banks of river Kameng. All the events provided sufficient benefit to the students in promoting physical and mental abilities turning  learning more fruitful.

The NCC capsule camp is in sync with the NEP that has put more emphasis on outdoor activities in comparison to classroom teachings.

In view of such perspectives, in the current year the UGC has instructed guidelines to include NCC as an elective subject in  colleges and universities all over India.  JB College (autonomous) on the other hand, had started NCC as generic elective subject in the year 2018 under the guidance of Captain Jury Bhuyan. This initiative has been appreciated by the Ministry of Defence and DG NCC and acknowledged J.B College  as a pioneer institute in Assam  in implementing NCC as a generic elective subject.
